CENTERFIRE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
By definition, Centerfire rounds have a primer located in the center of the cartridge case head that is a separate, replaceable component. Unlike Rimfires, which are ignited from the “Rim” and consist of fewer components, Centerfire rounds are ignited when the explosive primer, located between the cup and anvil components, is struck. Edward M. Boxer is credited with modern primer designs with origins dating as far back as 1866. At Aguila “Non-Corr Priming” is used and guarantees reliable ignition in any weather conditions, and with 27 skus ranging in velocity/energy ratios from 600/160 ft/sec to 3260/1298 ft/lb, the Aguila Advantage will hit dead center.
