The sun cover blocks algae from growing by shielding the water from the sun light that algae need to survive. It also keeps your chicken's water cooler in summer by providing additional insulation and keeps the outside of the BriteTap® waterer clean. Note: The sun cover is not intended to prevent the water from freezing during winter. BriteTap® Sun Cover Construction: Exterior - Durable UV light and water resistant fabric. Interior - Heat and light reflecting film bonded to heavy gauge plastic bubbles. Attaches via Velcro strips.
